The following are the current openings at WPSC. We are only accepting current WPUNJ students (undergraduate or graduate) into our organization. All students involved in radio station activities must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA at all times.
Please be advised that submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance. There are a limited number of training spots open per semester. If training spots are filled, a waiting list for the following semester will be on a first come, first serve basis. At this time, WPSC does not accept seniors.
WPSC is always looking for talented new students to join the ranks of On-Air DJs. Training sessions take place at the beginning of each regular semester. For questions about training, please contact Recruitment Directors Heeyoon Won and AJ Fillari at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The WPSC Sports Department is seeking Broadcast Journalism and Media Production majors with a passion for sports and commentary. (Non-Communication majors who demonstrate exceptional passion and thorough sports knowledge will also be considered.) Participation in WPSC Sports broadcasting is great way to learn hands-on, add to your resume and build an on-air reel.
Interested students should contact Sports at email@example.com
Brave New Radio is seeking street team members to help out at live events. Our promotions department is always out and about promoting the station at local music shows and other events, and we need help! We're looking for motivated, energetic and most important friendly students to help hand out flyers, participate in station giveaways, man the WPSC tent and more. If you want to become part of the team, and have a lot of fun, contact Promotions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The lifeblood of our programming is music, and we try to have as much representation of different styles and genres as possible when it comes to those who decide what gets played on our. As such, our Music Department can always use extra ears. If you would like to help us listen to the weekly avalanche of new music we receive weekly, or if you'd like to contribute to our ever-expanding music library, email Music at email@example.com.
Anytime you hear something on our airwaves that isn't a song or a live DJ talking, you're hearing station imaging. These are promos, legal identifications and public service announcements prerecorded to give our listeners information they need. All of these elements are created and produced by our production department, and we can always use more help! Audio Engineering majors and Media Production majors can get hands-on experience recording and editing with Pro Tools and Adobe Audition.
In addition, our Production Department records live sessions with local artists, so if you're into live sound, we got you covered there, too! If you're interested, contact Production at firstname.lastname@example.org.
